Government of Punjab accords priority to the NRI Web Portal which could be the most important and effective way to interact with the NRIs and get across to them with all schemes of the Government of Punjab. Accordingly, It was decided that the Department of NRIs Affairs may immediately set up a NRI Web Portal in collaboration with the DCs/ NRI Sabha/ Field functionaries. For this purpose, Hon’ble C.M. agreed to sanction Rs. 5.00 lacs out of his discretionary funds. As decided the Department of NRIs Affairs/ Punjab NRI Sabha is going ahead with the proposal and complete the work at the earliest possible.
